Same problem here. DM8000 with japhar nc3 sim. Open pli stable image with winter landscape logo. must reboot several times and sometimes it's works and runs........?? looks like a driver problem or conflict?? it goes wrong while it's booting and don't show the winter logo.....the box starts up tuner becomes green, softcam won't start and the error is after a while....timeout reading PAT....

If you had a successful boot, then it means it works. Yes the DM8000HD is using original drivers that are buggy and that we working on fixing the bugs of the original driver to stop such failed boots.

Only if the box booted properly with the image logo, it will work smoothly... until next reboot (so better just to reboot GUI/Enigma2 and not the full box if you dont want to go thru the same process to repeat until you have a good boot).

I think, reset the bios settings.

Connect the serial port, use a terminal program as Putty or from windows the Hyperterminal.
When connect, and turning on the box press the S key to go to the Advanced setup (bios) utility.
Or press the front button, turning os the box may also give you the Advanced setup into the terminal screen.
Goto the Exit tab and choose the Reset all settings to factory default.

This you can also preform with optiflasher.

Example pics from the Advanced setup utility (800hd), see file.

Because of the notice.. turn off boot console uart0

Upload a image file and after that the boot loader with the japhar flasher, one which is suitable for your sim card.
Use the network and serial cable and do it with a windows Xp system.

This error may happen when using windows 7 or higher, just tested, same issue.

Other option which could work with a w7 or higher system..
Use dreamup, or japhar flasher to give a ip to the box.
Leave it as it is, and use that box ip in your browser.
Upload a image file and after that the boot loader, one which is suitable for your sim card.
Trying it with optiflasher may also help.
