I formatted and mounted the pendrive. The only problem was the picons on the pen but I left the picons in flash memory. I already did the bakup on the pen and I can record without problems. Thanks for listening.

For safety reasons, I have decided to give no information to separate the HDD 5v from the U1100 LTC3850 circuit. This is because there are several versions motherboards.
I invented an alternative solution, which is safe to build.
Work´s perfect!. Thank´s you very much

Hi guys. I have an older D5 board dm800hdse that occassionally 'freezes' in the middle of a tv program. I therefore now record with a 700mA hdd on another D11 dm800hdse that works great because the D5 board was unstable. I noticed that all tuners placed in the D5 have wierd dB receiving strength values. Normally BBC 28.2 is about 11-12 dB (100%), and my Canal Digital channels (23.5) a bit more upto about 13dB (88%). But on my oft freezing D5 dreambox they are always 30dB for BBC (100%) and about 16.5dB on my Canal Digital channels (about 90%). I checked the tuner voltage which was 12V. But have no idea what is wrong with my D5 Mainboard. Does anyone have any clue?

Fist thing I think of is that this may happen if you use a 2 amp power supply, 3 to 5 amps may give a better results.
If you already use a 3 A power supply, try using another to rule out that it is caused by this.
When you are sure that your dish cable and settings are fine and you have tested it with several tuners, then it could be other things as the tuner slot pins, or some outdated solder on the print side, with bad connection it may give this issue. Or, if the box is old, and used for a long time, than it may be bad solder balls to/from the cpu to the motherboard. Often to see when you add some weight to the cpu, and noticed that the signal strength gets better.
These are some things of what it could be, however there are a lot of more things which could give this issue.
