Hi, If I want to upgrade my DM800HD Se (V1) using A8P SIM today. With this Japhar Sim, what would the benefits be ? Today Using IPTV on my Box. Would it be possible to install this OpenPli 7,2 recently released on my A8P SIM card or has it to be changed to the Japhar SIM ?

Hello, The OpenPLi 7.2 is compiled and optimized for the use of any DM800HDse box, upgraded to Japhar Sim. As you know the Chinese A8P, Sim2, estar or Ferrari stopped support few years ago. Only the Japhar Team is still active and working on the new images and software. The OpenPLi 7.2star image from Japhar is very well tuned to work with all the latest protocols and technologies, as well as very light keeping with the 400 Mhz DuoCore that is on the box when today most boxes have 1.3 or 1.9 Ghz clock (4 or more Cores). So yes, the Japhar images are the solution for the older boxes to keep them at today's level and demand of what we need to do. Also naturally to have the latest software with bug fixed and security fixes. So in your side, you will have to swap the old unsupported sim to the Japhar, and will then enjoy all the library of images released by the Japhar Team on the past years. DM800HDse V1 images : http://www.ourdreambox.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=48&page=1If you need the sim, you can get it here : https://jam3.japhar.com/japhar/index.php/product/japhar-dm800se/The swap from the old sim to the Japhar is very easy, generally it's only necessary to flash the Japhar or ALLSIM ssl, and turn off the box. Reboot the box with the Japhar sim, and flash the image you want. Have a nice sunday, Admin

Hi, Thanks a lot for your reply. If I buy this SIM card and replace my A8P, do I need to do something before I flash the latest OpenPli software into the box with my webinterface ?
Edit; Trying to buy a card on your webshop, unfortunately without success, will try again later / T

So now when I receive the card, I replace my A8P with this and then flash the OpenPli 7,2Star into the box with webinterface ? Thats all ?

You need to flash the Japhar image first (with the A8P sim in the box), then turn off the box. Replace the sim physically, and boot the box. It will work 100%. Admin P.S.: We have the tutorial below (see link), that is a little more complicated as it integrates in the way, the fact that some people can have a lower SSL than 84, so the solution below works with all SSL versions (the one I quoted above is only if you have already an SSL84 in the box).
