I have a Dreambox DM800HDse clone and over the last 4 weeks or so I have tried everything to fix it from the browser to dreamup + enforcer and every version of dreamup and also with optiflasher getting results like bad sectors plus Socket Error # 10061 Connection refused. But the main point of this letter is, could I buy a new sim for the box and start the box up fresh again its an old box of mine but instead of putting it in the bin, if it could be fixed with a new sim I would do that.

First thing is open the box and check the sim you have inside. See photos here, so you can compare and know exactly which sim you have installed on it.

Which image did you flashed to the box to obtain the "fatal" error (NO CA ERROR) ? Or did you updated online the image in the box ?

The DM800HDse boxes are very strong hardware and will last more than us, as per the quality and robustness of the hardware, as well as we know all about it, also how to repair if necessary.

Definitely thinking of upgrading the box to the Japhar Sim will get you the box strong to use it again for years, as well as the support you have here allows you finally to get all available and not risk everytime to block the box. So yes, buying the Japhar will resolve all problems, and using the support here will get you zero fault for future use.

Ok, so you upgraded the sim or flashed an image not compatible with the Sim2 2.10.

You can no problem ugprade the box to Japhar, replacing the old sim Japhar and using the Japhar Tools to fix the actual problem.

If your box is a DM800HDse V1, you will need a Japhar DM800HDse v1 as you can see below on the link.

You cannot use a v2 sim in a v1 box (and vice-versa). If your box had a Sim2 2.10, it is v1 box. v2 boxes have Sim2 2.20.

The v1 box has 64 Mb of Flash, 128 Mb of Ram. The v2 box has 512 Mb of Flash and 1 Gb of Ram.

Yes it has 64mb of flash I will be getting a V1 sim for the box.
