Morning Guys, I have written about this issue concerning EPG in our PLi images before. Every time i switch the Box ON from St/By or Re-Start it makes NO difference the EPG is EMPTY/GONE/LOST.!

So if I want to get EPG i have to go thru ALL the Channels on that Sat one by one to get it back and when i change Channels, ALL the EPG Infos, for ALL the previous Channels i was on, are GONE again.
Very frustrating.!!

I have seen on a friends Box "800seV2 with openATV 6.3 version image" a Plugin called "EPG-Importer" it sits in the PLUGIN Browser and also in the EXTENSION (Blue Button) Menu.

Here he chooses which Providers should LOAD and DISPLAY the EPG.
A little How To...Open EPG-Importer and make your personal CONFIGURATION then press Blue Button and choose ALL your SOURCES..voila.!
I have attached two Photos he just sent me.!

This works really super and no matter how many times you change Channels or fresh Re-Start or St/By the Box, the EPG is always working on ALL Sats.
Very impressive i must say.

So my Question to our Guys is would it be possible to check it out and if at all possible, incorporate this exact same Plugin from an openATV into out openPLi image and LOAD it into the "Japhar -Add ON Manager" to allow a "DIRECT-INSTALL" onto our openPLi images.
That would be really super

Please continue to STAY SAFE and FAR away from Covid-19.

You already have it on the Plugin section (OpenPLi 7.2star), you just need to have the right channel lists inside it, and configure it properly.

Also be sure it saves the data in the right place, and not volatile memory like RAM/Temp.

Ok Admin,
I have Hooked up my 800seV2 and checked I have NO Plugin EPG-Importer in my Plugins.!

I looked thru JAM to find the Plugin but only see "
EPGImport for DM800se/DM500", but NO DM800seV2 version.
So I selected this one DM800se and Execution shows Errors..
See Pic below

Then I opened Plugin Browser (Download plugins - Green Button)
and in Extension Folder I see here.
2x EPGImportFilter (1.0+git12)
2x EPGrefresh for when Box is inactive
2x EPGsearch for EPG List results see Pics attached.
But i cannot find an EPGImporter.
So which one should I choose to install?

I have found this file,
"EPGImportMOD" attached below.

How to...
1.) Unzip the File,
2.) Send the "EPGImportMOD" folder to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/

Reboot the Box and you should have "EPGImporter" in plugins.

But I am NOT sure if it will work in my openPLI 4.0 (v.6) image.?

I think its for openATV images, but they are ALL open source so should work.right.?
Don't want to Install and mess up my openPLI images, have three Boxes.

Could you pls verify if its OK to install as described.?

Probably you installed the package after, and so corrupted the built-in EPGImport in the image.

Try to flash the latest clean image, and see as it should be there (just checked the DM900UHD and DM800HDse, both have it).

Hi Admin, thanks for your reply.
I think there is a misunderstanding here.
I tried to install the plugin from JAM 5.3 as described in my post #21157 with the Error message.

I do NOT have the EPGImporter in my plugins, so corrupting it with an install is not possible.

I am on openPLi4.0 v.6 image so i am assuming that this EPG importer plugin is in the new latest "OpenPLi 7.2star DM800HDseV2" image.

But really i don't want to start Flashing new images on ALL my Boxes, i have
2x DM8000
1x DM800
4x DM800se
4x DM800seV2
Most have the JapharSIM inside but some have other SIMS.!!
ALL are being used by me and my Family.

So my other question would be can I install this "EPGImorter MOD" from post #21159 onto my image or is this NOT possible.?

The EPGImporter you installed was built for the OpenPLi 4.0 (as you had described), and is different from the one built-in the OpenPLi 7.2star. We done an update to allow the xz to work.

I don't know if the newer EPGImport, that is compiled with every new images, that comes from the Git of EPGImport, is backward compatible... as you seen they obliged everybody to use the xz format, and older versions were not working anymore.

You can just copy the folder from the Plugin of the OpenPL 7.2star image for the EPGImport and try to use it on an older image, if it works then you will have the solution to import it and not be obliged to upgrade to the latest version of the OpenPLi.

OpenATV 6.3 is like an OpenPLi 7.2star, same generation... on an OpenPLi 4.0, I cannot guarantee it will work. Try on a DM800HDse, and let us know how it goes. You can try the one of OpenATV 6.3 and then the one of OpenPLi 7.2star. Depending of the errors you could have, we could find out what is good and what is not.

P.S.: The ones on the JAM on OpenPLi 4.0 are v4.0, and most probably at the best with the zx compatibilty. It's just better to do as explained on the topic above, or copy from the plugin directories from OpenATV or OpenPLi the files to see if these work. Remember xz MUST be installed to have EPGImport working.
