OK my Q, I am looking to buy a 900UHD and wanted to know,
(I know this is also Image related so depends if the Image Supports Blindscan)
1.) Does the 900UHD do Blindscan?
2.) Which would be the Best Tuner for me?
3.) Does the DVB S2X Tuner need a different LNB?
I am at present using
4x Inverto Black Premium 0.2dB Twin Output LNB's.

I DO NOT have Cable but SAT and Terr2 ONLY.

Also is there a good way to Test the actual Signal strength coming from Cable To Box?

Let see if I can help you to answer this...

1.) Yes, even better/faster than the older boxes
2.) No clue if the standard tuner is related to it, but mine is equipped with the Silicon Tuner
3.) Unknown to me.

Q; good way to Test the actual Signal strength...
It depend, I use normally a good quality sattelite tester for it, or else the sat signal tester from the box.

I waited and waited for replies from China about 900UHD BUT nothing happened, got none.!
So decide to look around, there ARE plenty on FleaBay UK and DE but still not the right price.
Too expensive in £ and the DE Sellers will NOT send/deliver to UK.!!!
So I am stuck in a difficult dilemma, but will keep searching.!

I tried a ZgemmaH7S 4K Super Speedy Core/DMIPS Box.
But ALL sorts of problems, Tuners don't want to work.
Sat Dish Cable on DM works perfect, change it to H7S don't work.
Scan Fails, No Channels found, NO connection to Sat Dish.
Tuner Configs are OK but still NO Signal on H7S.

I was advised by a dear mutual friend, to leave these Boxes alone and on his advise I returned it and started searching again for a DM900.

That's why I am asking, I did some reading about LNB's and Diseqc Switching and as far as I understood it should make NO difference to the LNB whether you use a DVB-S or DVB-S2 Tuner or Triple MultiStream Hybrid or FBC Twin or FSC Twin.!
I just was NOT sure.

My LNB's and Diseqc Switches are pretty new about 3 years, so they should still be OK
I checked ALL the Cables and ALL F-connectors = ALL OK.

The only difference apparently with the DBV-S2X Tuners is that they are more Sensitive and Faster, which basically means much better.!

So I am thinking if the H7S don't work and they have the same Triple MultiStream Hybrid Tuner with 2x DVB-S2X / C-T2 as the 900UHD,
will that also NOT work.?
It would be silly to buy one and find it does NOT work.

I need to find out why the Zgemma H7S Tuners failed and don't work.
The Seller exchanged three different Units and ALL with the same results.
Now you understand why I am asking these really basic Q's.

Could it be that my Signal is too strong from Sat Dish.?

OK i ordered a V9 iBravebox Sat Finder with Capabilities: Full HD DVB-S/S2; H.265 compliant, Fully DVB compliant.
Will see what this tell's me.

I have no experiences with the DBV-S2X tuner(s) thus I'm not be able to give you a good answer to it.

As for the Signal is too strong, to my experiences it may indeed gives some issues with some tuners, but I did not experienced that it not received any channels, rather freezing screens.
But in my case I used a booster while it not needed because the regular dish setup was good/strong enough.

Original DM900UHD is on its way to me.
1x DVB-S2X Multistream Dual+ Wifi Antenna
Found one for €200 with Registered Delivery to UK incl.
+24 Months Guarantee with Receipt.
Will Report when it arrives and I have it Setup.

Last thing now is to find an Engineer who can re-solder the
Sim-Holder on both my Original DM800seV2 and this 900UHD.
This might take some time in present circumstances.

Hello AJP !

You will need the sim socket on the DM800HDseV2, but on the DM900UHD that's ok ;o), you can use the original image from Japhar, that is the same as for the Clone Japhar version.

You done the perfect buy, you will love the DM900UHD with the Japhar OpenPLi 7.2star image. Just toysoft will ask you to do a log as for the DM800HDseV2, as it's always useful in our side.

Hi and thanks for the advice about the 800seV2 and the SIM Socket. When Covid-19 is over will get it fixed and Order a JapharSIM.

That's brilliant News about the 900UHD using the same Images for Original and Japhar. Very Happy about that.

Just hope that the 900UHD works on my Sat Dish Setup.!

Got an Engineer coming to Test the whole Setup again.
Dish alignment, LNB's, Cables, Compression F-connectors on ALL Cables,2x Diseqc Switches and the Cables Indoors on the ALL the Boxes.

Yes I will contact TS about the "Python Script" again, of course he can read/take it before I do anything to it.!

Looking forward to playing around with it.!

Dm900 arrived and I have successfully connected the Tuners A+B to my Sat Dishes SetUp.
NO problems at all with all 4xTWIN Inverto 0,2db LNB's and both the 4x1 DiseqC switches from Spaun.

So my System is OK, but I have ordered a Sat Engineer to come and check it out anyway on 18.June 2020.
I cannot access the Dishes myself, as we need special Ladders with Hooks.
Will report back IF he finds anything or not.
