Tuner Config Tutorial For Motor Dish setup
On my solo2 i am using tuner B main tuner, so this tutorials for my settings. First install latest ready settings to your stb, so you dont have to do manual channel searching, because manual searching takes long time. You can setup your tuner to ways easy way is using usal setting on and if u are more have experience use tuning sat manually this way you can fine tune. Now i am going to show you manual tuning satellite. Press menu/setup/service searching/tuner configuration/select tuner B/Choose advanced and select the satellite you want to tune in in my case 28.2 select lnb1/sellect diseqc mode 1.2
On second page of reception settings select no to use usals for this sat. Here is the important give the number to stored position dont for get the number. In future every time you chance image if you dont backup your setting you need to enter that numbers back again so you dont have to do it tuning all over again. I have give number 4 you can put any number.
Then press ok and exit. Select positioner setup you can move your dish West via Red or search to West via Green search to East via Yellow or Blue to move to the East. On my screenshot you can see my signal and left buttom corner locked, that means sattelite is locked. You find the signal now on positioner storage give that same number we have given stored position on reception setting my one is number 4 Than when you on positioner storage 4 make sure u press green (store position) least 2 time so you save your settings.
And after that just exit. Now press down arrow button on your remote then green sellect your satellite services (my one is 28.2 )
And select you channel you are done

I am using Vix 3.0 on my Vu + duo and currently have the following satellites in the box
1 West Thor Sirius 4.8 7 east Eutelsate 9 East Eutelsat 13east Hotbird 16east Eutelsat 19.2 e Astra 23.5 Astra 28 Astra
But for some reason will not let me add 10east so I can move the dish to this position and then store the satellite
Any ideas

GOTO Main Menu \ Setup \ Service Searching \ Tuning Press "OK" on "TUNER A" Use L/R keys to change Configuration Mode to "advanced" Move down to "SATELLITE" Use L/R keys to select the satellite you want to add Underneath that set "Use USALS" for this satellite to "no" using L/R keys Go down to "Stored position" Set the position you want to this satellite to appear at using L/R keys ie 001, 002 etc Go down to "LNB" Use L/R keys to select "LNB 1" Next ensure "Diseqc Mode" is " 1.2" "Toneburst" is "B" (I left the others at the default setting's) Go further down and input your Latitude and Longtitude using the numeric keys (I inputted my Lat & Long information but I don't think it will make any difference unless you use USALS !) Scroll further down to "LOF" and set it to "Universal LNB" using the L/R keys Then Press "OK" to save the info you have inputted.
You will need to perform this for each Satellite position you intend to set up.
STAGE 2.
GOTO back to Main Menu \ Setup \ Service Searching \ Positioner setup Go down to "Positioner storage" Use L/R keys to set the postion number that is to be setup Go up to "Tune" Press the "Red Button" Using L/R keys select "Predefined or Manual transponder" as required (I suspect the Predefined settings uses the satellites.xml file and manual you get to choose what you want to scan) Go down to "Satellite" and use the L/R keys to select the Satellite to place at the above Storage postion Press "OK" Go down to "Positioner movement" Use the coloured buttons to search or move the dish left or right until "Locked" is acheived Go back to "Positioner storage" Press the GREEN button to store that location
You will need to perform this for each position you intend to set up in line with what you did in stage 1.
This is the way that I did it and it works fine, it looks daunting but after having done it a couple of times it becomes easy.
Have fun

If your using DiSEqC 1.2 you will have to set-up the dish positions manually. If your using USALS it should be automatic.
