Hi Guys,
received my new JapharSIMS v.6 for the DM800se V2 cards today.
Did a little reading before i started.

One thing that i found was the many posts concerning this exchange of older SIMs to JapharSIM v.6 for the DM800se V2 versions.
Some Instructions are 4 years old and so I was a little confused, which is the latest....OK

I had the openATV6.3 with SIM2 in the BOX.
So I started by turning OFF the Cams.
Then opened Box and took out the SIM2 and replaced with new JapharSim v.6 then Flashed the "SSL 88J - ALL SIM" via Webif.
This gave me a "R01 Error code in display".

Then I tried to recover with JapharFlasher 1.1, connected the USB service Cable.
Installed USB Drivers for COMM connection and tried to Flash the "SSL 88J - ALLSIM", with the JapharFlasher v.1.1
This gave me a another error, this was the "BIOS error"

I stopped here and did some more reading...
I then decided to exchange the SIMS again, so I took out the JapharSim v.6 and inserted the old SIM2.
Then again with JapharFlasher 1.1 connected to Box and again Flashed the "SSL 88J - ALL SIM" to recover the Box...
straigt away IT WORKED.
Without re-Boot TURN OFF Box at rear, disconnected the USB Cable from Service point.

I then exchanged the SIM2 for the JapharSim v.6

Then put the Box into "WebIf Flash mode" press Front Button and Rear Switch and hold until IP appears in Display,
then via Firefox Browser Flashen.
Now I could Flash the new openPLI 8 v.6 image.

So my mistake was to Change SIMS before Flashing the recovery SIM "SSL 88J - ALL SIM"

Just leave the old SIM in Box Flash the "SSL 88J - ALL SIM" straight away, this will work with WebIf,
no need to use Japhar Flasher 1.1.
DO NOT RE-Boot Box, Turn OFF with Rear Switch.
Then change the OLD SIM for the new JapharSIM v.6,
PUT BOX into WEBIF Flash mode using Front Button and Rear Switch,
to get your IP.
NOW Flash your NEW v6 image.

ALL OK. Hope this is clear and Helps others who want to upgrade to the JapaharSim and Japhar Images with these Great little DM Boxes.

Yes, you are perfectly right, you must first flash a Japhar SSL or Japhar image with the old sim in the box, before replacing the sim to Japhar from the old one.

On older boxes with SSL inferior of 84, it's mandatory to flash the SSL84 ALLSIM (or Japhar SSL84J), and then flash the image.

One DM800HDseV2, you have SSL88J (only v5), SSL89J (v5) and SSL89J_v6 (v6), you need to use the v6 naturally.

The "risk" on v2 boxes is the beta v5 release that wasn't compatible to v6. So be prudent, flash only v6 images (as v5 will give you NO CA ERROR).

Hi Guys,
I am still having a few problems with crashes and NOT being able to install plugins.
I have attached a couple of Screenshots to show you.!
Using a DM800seV2 with NEW JaharSim v.6 update Card purchased here last week.
Installed as above described the openPli8 latest and STILL I Am getting many errors, sometimes even "Tune Failed" on screen messages.
I even Flashed the JapharSIM AGAIN via JapharAddOn 5.3 see photo attached.
I am assuming the JapharSIM is now v.6 I ordered with v.6 on board, so I could start straight away with openPli8 latest image.
Any ideas please.

Hi Guys,
update on the issues with my 2x DM800seV2 Boxes and latest 2021.05.13 openPli8 image
this one:- OpenPLi 8.0Star 20210513 GS1.18.3 v6

I was having so many problems with the 2021.03.12 image I decide to Flash the Latest
and start again.

OK, the Boxes are NOT working constant strange bevaviours.
Pic 1. Display in StandBy
Pic 2. Normal Running Condition.
Pic 3. Sudden on Screen Message.Stayed on Screen for 15 mins.
Box RESTART via Menu NOT possible, have to Kill at REAR with Switch.

Network Test
LAN Adapter - Confirmed
Local Network - Confirmed
DHCP - enabled
IP Address - unconfirmed
Nameserver - Unconfirmed

Constant disconnects with DCC_E2 and FTP NOT ready messages.
OTHER BOXES connect OK. ONLY these two are giving me problems.

ALL my Boxes are on the same NETWORK and ROUTER.!

Checked Internet with another DM Box upsatairs and that is WORKING no problems!!!

Box RESTART, Standard via Menu NOT working at all,
BOX does NOT Restart, if I use this option.
Have to kill every time at rear Switch.

Another strange thing is the constant Black Screen freezer for
a few secs all the time, as if the Tuner keeps dropping out,
with failed Tuner Error on Screen. On ALL Sats.!

CAN it be that the JapharSIMS are NOT v.6?
(BUT I did a SIM UPdate via JapharAddOn last week).!!

Also the constant strange re-Boots when trying to watch TV, without touchng anything.

I even changed the Power Unit for one that is working.
Makes NO difference still the same.!

When I have time I will try the openATV images for Japhar v.6 to see whay happens.

Any ideas??

We will test this weekend, for now be sure the boxes all have different MAC addresses (don’t use the trick of changing MAC on the configurations), and reboot all switches/AP and the modem/router.

I have NOT changed any MAC Id's..NO
As far as the Network and Router resets are concerned, when ever I get a Network problem on any of my Bxes, I automatically run a self diagnostic.
Switch and Power OFF all Boxes.
Switch OFF and unPLug Router for at least 10 mins so it can unload/discharge itself.
Then I switch the Router back ON and the Receivers one by one as well, normally this cures any Network connections.

Well done, and do you have only the router, or do you have also Switches and Wifi AP ? These must be also rebooted.
