Hi!
Suddenly, we have no picture from the HDMI connector on our DM 800HDse. Scart connector works without problems.
Have reinstalled BH 1.4 but HDMI is still not working. Scart works. Any idea?

Sorry to say but from my experiences..

50% A cpu failure, mostly only to repair with a new cpu.
35% Related to the cpu, but then a print track or bad solder track from the cpu.
10% Hdmi cable, or issue with the tv hdmi connector.
2% Software related.
1% One of the diodes, D600/D601/D602
1% Hdmi connector failure.
1% Other unknown cause.

But mostly it is the cpu, and mostly fixed after a new cpu.
For more information, see this topic for a schematic.

Hi,
I have a strange behaviour my hdmi output.

The hdmi output is ok at boot as I see clearly the bootlogo, but during the booting the hdmi signal seems to go away as I see "no hdmi input" on my tv screen. I have no Hdmi output also when the booting is ended. I have also flashed another image with same results.
The scart output works fine.
Any suggestion to solve this issue ?

Check the resolution supported by your screen, as HDMI will not display anything if the resolution output is not supported by your screen... instead use the WebIf, to see if the box booted properly and change via the menu to an HDMI Resoution that works often the 480p is ok).

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I'm more than sure that my issue has nothing to do with resolution of the hdmi output.

This is because I have two Dm800se, and one has this problem and the other not. Just to be sure I have flashed a clean OpenATV 5.1 in both of them. On both of then I can see the bootlogo just aftew switching it on. I can see on the tv screen the setting options (Video output setup i.e. scart or Hdmi, etc. etc.) on the Dm800se
that is ok at the end the booting process, while on the other one I can see the bootlogo on the tv screean when I switch it on, but as soon as the The linux kernel is booting the screen goes away and I got "no HDMI signal" on the tv screen. At the end of the booting process I can see the setup menu on the dm800se display but nothing on the TV.

I do not know how the hdmi signal out of the cpu is handled, but it is strange that i can see the logo at beginning of the boot and nothing after. If it is a cable issue or a Cpu issue I should not see anything since the beginning.

Something happens between the bootlogo display and the kernel linux booting that switches the hdmi off.

Should I try by replacing the TVS diods ? What else could be ? How to debug it ?

Do the backup of the image that works 100%, and flash it to the not working box, so we are 100% sure of a software/image that is exactly the same and has exactly the same configuration.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi,
that is what I done.

I have flashed the same clean image to the two boxes. The one that has the hdmi ok showed the bootlogo immidiately after the switch one and the video configuration settings at the end of the booting process on the tv screen.
The one that has the problem also shoed the bootlogo on the tv screen immideately after the switch on, but then "no HDMI signal" on the tv screem during the booting process- At the end of the booting process I can see the video configuration setting on the dreambox display but nothing on the tv screen.

so I'm 100% sure of a software/image that is exactly the same and has exactly the same configuration.
