Just to be sure I have flashed a clean OpenATV 5.1 in both of them. On both of then I can see the bootlogo just after switching it on. I can see on the tv screen the setting options (Video output setup i.e. scart or Hdmi, etc. etc.) on the Dm800se that is ok at the end the booting process, while on the other one I can see the bootlogo on the tv screean when I switch it on, but as soon as the The linux kernel is booting the screen goes away and I got "no HDMI signal" on the tv screen. At the end of the booting process I can see the setup menu on the dm800se display but nothing on the TV.

I do not know how the hdmi signal out of the cpu is handled, but it is strange that i can see the logo at beginning of the booting process and nothing after. If it is a HDMI socket issue or a Cpu issue I should not see anything since the beginning.

Something happens between the bootlogo display and the kernel linux booting that switches the hdmi off. And it seems to me that this has nothing to do with the drivers as well.

One additional thing to point out is that my dm800se use to work fine before but suddenly hdmi went out.

At what johnny told me the CPU directly manages the HDMI, so there would be nothing to replace or repair between the connector and the cpu/chipset.

Perhaps one of the connections of the connector ? That's the only thing left... but it looks like more to me that is't a "logic error" which have the CPU not sending the right informations to the display.

You should try on another TV... to see if it does the same as on that one.

The bootlogo is at a low resolution, then it switches to a higher resolution once enigma2 is running... so try older TVs with HDMI. Do you have the same behavior with the SCART ?

I did not check the connector but I have tested it with others HDMI cables with same results. To check the connector I need to cut one of my HDMI cable. I prefer to check the signal with a scope. Do you know what I should expect at hdmi pinout ?

I have tested on two different TVs and on a computer monitor with same results.

I have tested it on a 2013 TV with same result.
The scart works fine. No problem at all

If you tested and it's same with other TV/cable, then it means the box has a problem, you should then check with johnny, jb8a8f8.com
