Tried both and failed. The Gemplus driver did not install.
As said Windows kept installing the WUDF driver.
The GCR2 USB programmer failed to work in Windows 7 and 10!
Maybe the autoinstall only works if there is an online internet connection?
But neither do the given Gemplus drivers install offline!
And Windows needs .inf complete driver files to be able to add it to the system.
My Windows 10 Pro version does not work with the given driver and both Windows 7 and 10 state that the programmer is not working.
And I can't find the exact driver files as mentioned in the PDF instruction file.

Win10 auto install the programmer that is a standard PC/SC Reader.
Win7 as well, auto-install it.

Hundreds of members used it and it autoinstalled... don't know how you installed your Win7 or Win10.

If you really want to go the drivers way, there is 4 files, 2 for WinXP and 2 for Win7 on the first post... you have all there. Try the older one then the newer one.

Again no use! Even the specially downloaded GemPcCCID.exe file for all Windows versions failed to install on Windows 10!
Must be the Microsoft Essential sh*t that is running in the background and interrupts the installer?
None of the 2 above mentioned Windows 7 drivers are installable. Windows 7 and also 10 simply ignore them!
Sorry for asking. Without offline installable working driver time is wasted!
The given instructions must be incomplete!
I've installed a lot of USB devices like the USBasp, TL866A, PICKIT3, Labnation Smartscope etc etc and they all worked easy peasy!
The GCR2 assumably doesn't install offline.

We cannot explain all users how to install on their PC with their personal configuration how to install a simple Windows standard device.

I believe here is that you have an OS that requires to be online to update it and install drivers, if you don't want such thing, use a "normal" OS that doesn't require such things... but we both know that from Win7 and after the online update is... a necessity. We cannot do then job of the OS when this behavior is the OS requirement...

We have many customers with WinXP, Win7, Win10 that used our software with no problem, you should tune your Windows to be capable of running "normal software" and not only "signed and valid only for Win10" software as it seems you have set.

And probably another one will work on Windows 7.
Also windows finally found Gemplus scanner as its device name.
The previous proposed drivers really didn't work.

Well done, every installation / Windows is different, and needs to have the right drivers installed.

Our experience shows that the reader autoinstall, using the Windows Update support. Naturally installing manually the driver is also a possibility.

Only the Japhar Sim can be reprogrammed. No other sim can be reprogrammed.

Because of Toysoft's crack of the Sim 2.01 (and only that Sim, with "Sim 1.0 Ferrari" to "DM800HD Ferrari Sim"), the Sim 2.01 can be flashed with Toysoft's DM_Sims software, but it will load only again the 2.01 software to it as it was done to recover dead sims.

So, in fact only Japhar's sim can be reprogrammed/flashed to be used with different DM boxes, upgrading the sim from a DM800HDpvr to any other one, including the latest DM900UHD clone box.
